Tower Oaks Community Meeting Rescheduled
The Community Meeting for the Tower Oaks housing development proposal has been rescheduled to September 29, 2015 at 6;30 pm.

Door to Door Solicitation
At our meeting, both the chief of police and Tom Howley from Community Enhancement & Code Enforcement answered questions about folks soliciting door to door in our neighborhood. All salespeople are required to wear a city-issued badge, an example of which is shown below.

- Persons selling merchandise to manufacturers, wholesalers or retailers for use in their business or for resale;
- Persons who take orders solely for the delivery of newspapers;
- Hawkers or peddlers who are licensed pursuant to article VII of this chapter;
- Any resident person sixteen (16) years of age or less;
- Any City resident who is soliciting on behalf of and is authorized by a nonprofit organization.

Tower Oaks Housing Development Proposed
An application has been submitted to allow development of a project consisting of a maximum of 375 housing units, including detached houses, townhouses, and condominium units near the intersection of Preserve Parkway and Tower Oaks Boulevard. This application will amend the previously approval for this site, which currently allows office development.
The project will not be age restricted, but will be attractive to "empty nesters". The project will provide homes with elevators, homes with one-floor living, and homes with bedrooms and the main level. Current plans are to begin construction in 2018.
A Post-Application Meeting will be held to inform the community as to how the project will be developed and to answer questions.

Notice of Area Meeting for Development of 2401 Wooton Parkway
The owner of the property at 2401 Wooton Parkway, located at the corner of Wooton Parkway and Hurley Avenue, now occupied by a struggling shopping center, is preparing to submit an application to the City to seek approval for a Site Plan to replace the shopping center with upscale townhomes. The project could proceed within the next two years.
An Area Meeting will be held to provide citizens with an opportunity to learn more and to provide input into the proposed development.
